“It’s something I am so proud of.”

Hannah’s debut children’s book ‘Dear Mum, I Love You’ is already proving a popular choice among Fraser Coast readers.

The beautifully illustrated book is all about telling our mums how special they are.

“There’s been great demand for the book and many people have said it’s going to make an awesome Christmas present,” said Hannah.

Whether the book is a special present for mum or child, it’s the quality time, reading together that’s sure to be the real gift.

There’s space in the book for you to place a photo of you and your mum and to write your own unique dedication to her.

‘Dear Mum, I Love You’ stems from a final year school English project.

The former St James Lutheran College student said she was encouraged by her teacher to publish the book.

The book is illustrated by Fraser Coast artist Tinneale Fairey.

“It was really important for me to have as much of the book as possible produced by local talent,” explained Hannah.

The 20-year-old said creating the story was something she really enjoyed doing and it quickly became a project she had to see through.

A series of books on other special family members is also on the cards.

Even though Hannah has future plans for her writing and creating a series of books, she finds the smaller, boutique nature of publishing the most appealing.

“I’d love to get ‘Dear Mum, I Love You’ into the local libraries and schools,” she said.
