THE sounds of splashing and children playing will be heard from WetSide Water Park in Hervey Bay again.

The attraction officially reopened today after the annual winter maintenance period – which also included a new softfall surface in the main splash arena and repairs to the toddler play area.

WetSide is open Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am to 5pm during the Queensland school term and operates seven days a week during the school holidays.
The weekly light show is held on Saturday nights from 7pm.
Fraser Coast Division 5 Councillor Jade Wellings posted a video on Facebook showing a sneak peek at the new Aqua Ninja course.

Cr Wellings said it should be hopefully be in use by the end of the month.

WetSide Water Park was voted number one in the Top Ten Amusement Parks and Water Parks in Australia last year.
WetSide Water consists of:
- Water slides
- Water play area
- TotSide for toddlers (gentle water play area for under 5s)
- Weekly light show – Saturdays from 7pm
- Aqua Ninja obstacle course
- Coffee shop and fish and chips shop onsite.
The attraction is located on the Charlton Esplanade in Pialba, near the Pialba Caravan Park.
