Deputy Principal Clinton Hansen said children will have a great time enjoying different fine and gross motor activities, slime, painting, bubbles and AFL Auskicks.

He said other programs like Deadly Choices, First Five Forever through Fraser Coast Libraries and local emergency services, among other things, will also be available.

“Under 8’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate and encourage the learning of our younger students,” Mr Hansen said.

Prep to Year 3 students and their younger siblings will be involved. Children who do not attend the schools have also been invited to enjoy the morning with their parents.

Adding to the excitement will be the relaunch of the Shining Stars community playgroup.

Shining Stars will take place at the school each Wednesday from 9am to 11am.

“Our playgroup commenced in 2021 and has attracted many young families, many of which now attend St Helens as Prep students,” Mr Hansen said.
