TWO Fraser Coast schools have received Excellence Awards for 2022.
The Fraser Coast Anglican College has been acknowledged in the Regional School of the Year category, while Maryborough State High School received recognition in the Secondary School of the Year (Government) category and for its special education program at the Australian Education Awards 2022.
FCAC said it was humbled by the recognition at a national level.
Principal Joe Wright said it was a reflection of the commitment staff, students and parents have towards the FCAC community.
“To be selected as a finalist for Regional School of the Year is a great honour.” continued Mr Wright.
“We have a very supportive and inclusive community at the College [and this] leads to excellent results, well-rounded graduates, and we attract high-performing staff.”
Meanwhile, 2022 is the fourth successive year Maryborough State High School has received an Excellence Award in the Secondary School of the Year (Government) category.
It’s also the first time the school’s Student Enrichment Precinct has received an Excellence Award.
“This nationally recognised award is a testament to the determination and hard work of our school and community in partnership,” MSHS said in a statement online.
Winners in their respective categories will be announced on Friday, 12 August 2022 in Sydney.
