But for those out-of-towners who’re visiting the region for the Easter school holidays, River Heads Markets is the new kid on the block.

Yes, it’s fresh and exciting!

Now in its third installment, the River Heads Markets are held on the second Sunday of every month.

Being a once-a-month event has helped build anticipation and create exclusivity among the community.

River Heads Markets: A quick review

Whether you’re looking for great food, art and crafts, plants or just a bargain or a stallholder getting ready to set-up your display again, there is something special about each event.

Set is the pristine River Heads; organisers have done a great job creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the markets.

Local musicians are given a platform to entertain and get their names out there, while a map of the market provides insight into what can be found where and a creates a ‘level of familiarity’ – even for first timers.

Sections of the markets are given ‘street names’ signifying the type of products that can be found in that area.

The markets are all about giving back to the community.

This weekend’s event includes a massive Easter raffle that will help raise funds for Community Flights, a charitable organisation aiming to provide flexible, safe and free transport for patients from their nearest regional airport to their medical treatment or services destination.
