You’re about to hit the road for your Easter holidays.
Police are urging holidaymakers to make road safety a top priority and do all they can to ensure they arrive at their destinations safely.
Chris Wicks from Bob’s Tyre Centres and TJM shared the following tips with Good News Fraser Coast so you can tell what condition your tyres are in:
- Each tyre has a four-digit age code and cracks are also signs of age. Tyres also have a wear mark indicator within the tread. These can be checked by a tyre fitter or salesperson.
- Wheel alignment and balancing should be checked every 10,000km or 12 months.
- Tyre pressure should be checked monthly.
Bob’s Tyre Centres and TJM offer a full range of services including: tyre fitting, rotation and balancing, wheel alignment and puncture repairs.
Tyre technicians are also available 24/7 for an onsite callout service.
Thrill seekers planning for a little more adventure can also fit-out their vehicles with all the necessary 4WD accessories.
