Mayor George Seymour said the events cater for a range of interests and age groups.
“Events include a colour run and disc golf at the Tinana Recreation Reserve in Maryborough to a pool party at the Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre and Youth Fest at the Seafront Oval, said Cr Seymour.
“By co-ordinating these activities, we show our youths that they are important to us; they are valued and they make a valuable contribution to our communities.

“The events also are an opportunity to show that we value our youths; that we want to engage with them and hear what they have to say about the world around them and their aspirations to ensure that the region is the place they want to live, work and play.”
