Maryborough flood recovery hub to provide much-needed support

FRASER Coast residents affected by the flooding can seek emotional support and psychological first aid at a Community Recovery Hub from this weekend.

The facility will operate out of the Maryborough Pensioners Hall at 84 Adelaide Street from Sunday morning (6 March).

IMPORTANT: Severe storm warning for parts of SEQ, including Fraser Coast

The hub will be open between 9am and 5pm.

It will offer services such as:

  • Emotional support and psychological first aid
  • Assistance with State Government Personal Hardship grant applications and information and advice from various agencies on how to manage a safe and successful recovery.

 The Hub will also include information and support services from organisations such as:

  • Australian Red Cross
  • Lifeline
  • Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre
  • Housing Services
  • Centrelink
  • Insurance Council
  • Qld Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) and Department of Small Business
