SOME of Australia’s best ballet dancers will perform on the Fraser Coast next month.

Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said being able to host the internationally renowned show was important for the region.
“While the production will captivate audiences, Fraser Coast dancers will also have an opportunity to see some of the best dancers in Australia in action,” Cr Seymour said.
Giselle is a supernatural tale of passion, vengeance and the power of love.

First performed in Paris, France in 1841, the Romantic-era masterpiece is set in an ethereal realm where vengeful spirits dance in the darkness and love triangles can be deadly.
The production is staged by Ai-Gul Gaisina; with luminous costumes, an enchanting score, and exquisite choreography developed by the world-renowned Marius Petipa for the Imperial Ballet in St Petersburg.
