THE Queensland Government has announced changes to COVID-19 check in requirements.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said on social media that from today, checking in is now only needed at venues requiring proof of vaccination.

Ms Palaszczuk said the Check In Qld app has been used more than a billion times since its launch.
“Vaccine mandates still exist for venues where only the vaccinated can enter,” Ms Palaszczuk said on her Instagram page.

“For those who have used the app – thanks a billion. It has helped keep Queenslanders safe.”
On Facebook, Ms Palaszczuk said the announcement was great news for business.

Meanwhile, Member for Maryborough Bruce Saunders reminded people they would still need to check in at venues such as bars, clubs and pubs.
