A place you want to visit again and again because you always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Seaside Skin and Beauty offers just that.

It’s that place you can’t but help texting your friends about, letting them know they have to try it.

The skin and beauty clinic is proudly owned by Hervey Bay local, Jazmin Peek.

The business was established in August 2020 and adds something special and a little different to the Fraser Coast’s skin and beauty industry.

“One of the main benefits of coming to Seaside Skin and Beauty is that the clinic is home-based. I’ve found that many of my regular clients prefer the privacy.”

The clinic overlooks the pool and the setting allows for a more relaxing environment.

“You’re not just another appointment when you book at Seaside Skin and Beauty, you’re a person with a real life, real responsibilities and real stories,” said Jazmin.

The location of the home-based clinic is something that really speaks to Jazmin’s approach to her business.

“When you drive to Seaside Skin and Beauty, you’re entering a quiet, tranquil environment. The clinic is not based in the hustle and bustle of town,” she explained.

Find it Fraser Coast

The clinic operates out of Point Vernon, a stone’s throw away from the beautiful Gatakers Bay and Parraweena Park.

“You really can relax, unwind and just pamper yourself knowing you’re in the perfect location. The setting matches our approach to business and what we want to offer our clients.”

“You really need to be a people person to do this job.”

Jazmin’s ability to listen to clients and let them speak is one of the reasons why she signed up as an ambassador for Bite the Blue.

The organisation focuses on early prevention and intervention for mental health, abuse and loneliness.

The Bite the Blue medallion on the front desk lets people know the clinic is a Safe Space where they can chat if they’re struggling, being abused or feeling lonely.

“The idea is to get people talking so that ambassadors can engage and help where possible.”

Jazmin said she wanted to create an atmosphere where clients, especially mums, could spend some time looking after themselves knowing that their children were welcome.

“It can be difficult for mums to find some time for themselves and, having a background in childcare, I am proud of the fact my clinic is child friendly.

“I have a cupboard full of toys so the kids can play. Depending on the treatment, I’m able to work with them in the room – it’s all good. For me it’s important that mums are able to pamper themselves and take some time to relax.

“I understand – I’m here to make your facial, massage or whatever you’re coming in for relaxing and enjoyable.”

The clinic offers a full range of services, but it’s Jazmin’s facials that are really popular amongst her regulars.

“Come in and try what we have to offer, but you definitely need to get a facial,” she said.

Making things even easier for new and established clients, the Seaside Skin and Beauty website was recently upgraded – providing in-depth product and service information as well as an online booking system.

“The new system allows people to book sessions in real time, meaning they can view openings and book them at the click of a button,” said Jazmin.

“I have received so much positive feedback; it really is helpful.”

Another passion of Jazmin’s is supporting other local businesses.

“I always try source local products from the Fraser Coast or Australia. It’s great when people know the products you’re using or selling are of the highest quality and help other businesses and families like mine.”
