Deliona Foods launched its ready-to-eat frozen meals recently and the brand comes with the backing of one of the best names in the business.

Whether you’re after juicy meatballs, veg and pasta; beef stir fry; creamy chicken carbonara or mild chilli con carne – to name but a few – you can tuck into dinner knowing that your meal was made right here on the Fraser Coast.

Deliona Foods is the latest item being brought to the table by Dale and Fiona Newberry – the proud owners of Hervey Bay’s award-winning butchery, Kawungan Quality Meats.

“We wanted to create amazing meals that are tried and tested right here on the Fraser Coast. All the ingredients are locally sourced and the meat products come straight out of Kawungan Quality Meats, so you know they’re going to be of the highest standard,” said Dale.

The Deliona Foods range is the natural progression of the Kawungan Quality Meats Easy Dinners brand.

“There has been great interest in the meals, with five stores across the Fraser Coast already stocking the Deliona Foods range,” said Dale.

“Our focus is to produce meals that taste great and are easy to prepare. We have a range of homestyle meals developed and cooked by professionals working in our Category A commercial kitchen.

“Everything is done with precision to ensure the best quality products for those stocking the range and, most importantly, for those buying their dinner.”

Meals are cooked, packaged and immediately placed in a blast freezer to lock in freshness and flavour.

When you want to eat your favourite Deliona Foods meal, you simply pop it in the microwave for eight minutes.

Individual meals are generous portions made with the best quality ingredients.

Dale said the Deliona Foods brand is not a side project for Kawungan Quality Meats, but a fully independent business.

“We are in the process of building and fitting out a new commercial grade kitchen and offices for Deliona Foods in Liuzzi Street, Pialba.

“All the businesses involved in fitting out the new kitchen are locals. Whether they’re builders, designers or fridge installers, we’ve looked to the Fraser Coast for help first.”

The good news for stores that sign up to stock the Deliona Foods meals is that they’ll have access to a full range of marketing material at no extra cost.

“We’re making the meals and helping sell them,” said Dale.

Whether you want to stock Deliona Foods in your store, or stock your freezer at home for when you don’t feel like cooking, head over to delionafoods.com.au and make your order online.

You can also find the full list of stores stocking the range on the website.

“We really want people to get out there and try the menu. They’re good quality homestyle meals that can get served up hot and ready to eat in a matter of minutes,” said Dale.

“If your local store doesn’t stock them yet, tell them to get onboard.”

But what does this mean for Kawungan Quality Meats?

Well, nothing.

The home of Queensland’s best boneless leg ham for 2021 will continue to provide premium meat products to its new and regular customers.

“Kawungan Quality Meats isn’t going anywhere and will still be found at the corner of Main Street and Doolong Road,” explained Dale.
