THE Fraser Coast will host the Queensland Reds when they travel to the region for a five-day pre-season camp in January.
The squad will assist with junior clinics and meet and greet fans from 16-21 January.
The camp will allow the team to further connect with the Queensland community following this week’s third Reds to the Regions tour.

Some 35 past and present Reds players are currently spread across the Sunshine State, engaging with local communities and performing manual labour as part of the state-wide tour.
The Fraser Coast has become a hub for elite sportspeople and events following the redevelopment of the Fraser Coast Sports and Recreation Precinct in Nikenbah.
Rugby is also continuing to grow in the region ahead of February’s inaugural Fraser Coast Rugby 7’s Festival.
Reds head coach Brad Thorn said they’re excited to travel to Hervey Bay.
“It’ll be the first time the whole squad is together with the returning Reds back from national duties.
“As well as training, we’ll get out into the community our time there. Following our third Reds to the Regions tour, it’s important we continue to connect with the people of Queensland who we all represent.”
Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said it was a great opportunity to host some of the world’s best Rugby Union players.
“The camp will be terrific for tourism and fantastic for footy fans and will give locals the opportunity to meet with and watch first class Rugby players in action.
“Council is focussed on growing our local economy while also ensuring we have a healthy and active community. Supporting events like this Queensland Reds visit helps us achieve those outcomes.”
