TIME is running out to make nominations for the 2022 Fraser Coast Australia Day Awards.
Nominations close on Monday, 13 December.
The awards are an opportunity to recognise the community’s unsung heroes.
Mayor George Seymour is urging local residents to nominate someone who has gone above and beyond for the community.

“We all know someone who inspires us. Let’s give them the recognition and praise they deserve and nominate them for a 2022 Australia Day Award,” Cr Seymour said.
“It is their community spirit that makes the Fraser Coast such a great place to live, work and play.”

Winners we be celebrated on 19 January, with the 2022 Australia Day Awards presentation being held at the Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre in Maryborough on Wednesday, 26 January 2022.
“I urge everyone, individuals and members of service clubs, sporting clubs and schools to nominate their hard-working colleagues and mates whose efforts deserve to be recognised,” Cr Seymour said.
