A FREE university skills course for adults considering study at university or TAFE is being offered at USC’s Fraser Coast campus.

USC runs the University Skills for You course across its campuses as a free, no-obligation taste of the university experience for people who did not finish high school and others who may not have formally studied for many years.

The focus is on upgrading academic skills and helping adults approach tertiary education with confidence, regardless of their age or educational level.
The course is facilitated by experienced USC advisers who introduce participants to some of the essential tools needed to tackle tertiary-level study, including academic writing and researching.

It will be held at USC Fraser Coast on 9-10 November.
USC’s Indigenous Services will help run an additional Uni Skills workshop for members of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community on 11-12 November.
Workbooks are provided for free and there are no tuition fees, exams or assignments.
Places are limited and registration is essential.
