BRISBANE Road football players are preparing to travel up the Bruce Highway to the Fraser Coast for a pre-season training camp and an exhibition game this weekend.

The squad will arrive tomorrow afternoon ahead of their clash with a Wide Bay Select team at the Fraser Coast Sports Precinct in Nikenbah on Saturday evening.
That match is scheduled to kick-off at 5pm.

The trip to the whale watching capital of the world will include several community engagements in the build-up to the exhibition game.
Roar players will visit Kawungan State School, Maryborough State High School and the Skills Training Centre at the sports precinct throughout the week.
Brisbane Roar players will also be available to sign autographs after their training session at the sports precinct in Woods Road on Friday evening.

The professional outfit’s visit is part of a three-year sponsorship agreement between the Roar and the Fraser Coast Regional Council.
Under the agreement, the Brisbane Roar has established a Skills Training Centre at the Fraser Coast Sports and Recreation Precinct to help develop talented footballers between Gympie and Mackay.

Saturday’s exhibition match is open to the public at no cost.
Spectators do not need to register prior to the event but they will need to check in via the the Check In QLD app upon arrival at the venue.

The Brisbane Roar Academy will also hold a training session at the sports precinct on Friday, 27 August for eight to 16 years old from 4.30pm.
