Council announced this week that attendees will be in the running to win almost $7,000 worth of door prizes on the day.

The expo takes place at the Beach House Hotel in Scarness on Thursday, 29 July.

Deputy Mayor Darren Everard said the expo promised to be a great event for local businesses to network and gather information.

Cr Everard said the door prizes were the icing on the cake.

“The prize pool includes $1,500 in Buy Local Gift Cards donated by NBN and Council, as well as sessions with lawyers, marketers, accountants and merchandise including ceramic chef knives and printers,” he said.

More than 40 local businesses and government departments will be exhibiting at the expo.

“The expo is part of Council’s $500,000 COVID-19 Economic Stimulus package, which includes a wide range of programs designed to help businesses improve shopfronts, increase sales, reduce costs and share knowledge,” Cr Everard said.
