FRASER Coast communities were visited by the touring Carnival of Joy at the weekend.

The giant kookaburra, cockatoo and koala sculptures are busy meandering their way from Brisbane to Cairns sharing positivity and cheer along the way.

The creations are the work of Dr Farvardin Daliri OAM.
Dr Daliri toured the Sunshine State with the giant kookaburra during the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns. The motivation behind the mobile art was to create and spread cheer among communities.
The cockatoo and koala are new additions this year.

The trio stopped over in Bauple, Maryborough and Childers at the weekend.

The Carnival of Joy is expected to share more cheer in Hervey Bay today.

As of Sunday evening, the travelling trio would head down the Esplanade again towards Shelly Beach at around 3.30pm.
