“It just means all our different departments are performing well.”

Meanwhile, Janet said the nominations were testament to the venues’ ongoing efforts to better their facilities and level of service.

“There is always something that can be improved. During the COVID-19 lockdown period we actually used that time to do some refurbishments and spruce up the venues,” she said.

The hotels are no strangers to the awards having picked up numerous titles in the past.

“Not only is it great industry recognition but winning these awards really gives us something to market the venues,” Janet explained.

The accolades help out-of-town visitors know which hotels, restaurants, bistros and retailers to call in at.

“There was definitely an increase in business after we won categories in previous years,” agreed Paul.

Janet described the Fraser Coast as the perfect spot for visitors.

“It’s a beautiful area that is family friendly and has some of the best attractions and premier hotels and restaurants in Queensland – if not Australia.”
