Speaking after the announcement, Cr Everard said the elected representatives making up the Council were all part of Team Fraser Coast.

“I think things are on the up for us. And as the community continues to grow, we have a lot of amazing projects coming,” he said.

Cr Everard said it was important that everyone on the Council supported each other, irrespective of the project and put Team Fraser Coast first.

Mayor George Seymour said Council was full of leaders who he would be happy to delegate responsibilities and offer more leadership opportunities to.

Last night’s council meeting was held in the evening and livestreamed on YouTube to allow more residents to watch proceedings and make representatives more accessible to the public.
