A SMALL pod of dolphins seemed to have had the inside scoop this morning and wanted to check out everything Torquay Beach had to offer.

Hervey Bay locals who hit the sand for their morning walks saw at least three dolphins in the surf – two of them swimming within metres of the shoreline.
This just hours after Surf Life Saving Queensland ranked Torquay Beach as the State’s sixth best beach at the end of the 2020 / 2021 summer season.
Hervey Bay life, business and leadership coach, Alicia Wade filmed the experience and shared it on her Facebook page.

“How cool is that,” Alicia said while beaming the footage live on social media.
“Oh my gosh I have goosebumps. They’re so cute,” she said.
“I feel like I’m going on a walk with them. I was walking the other way, now I’m going to follow these dudes.”
“Welcome to Hervey Bay, yesterday I saw turtles,” she said.

Alicia ended her commentary by saying Hervey Bay is definitely the place to be.
And if the dolphins and the recent travel and tourism accolades the city has scored are anything to go by – I think everyone will agree with her.
